Rolls ‘n’ Bowls has introduced a new coupon good for 20 percent off of your purchase between 3-5 pm.
The new coupon was introduced to encourage more business at the restaurant between lunch and dinner hours. I do not think that this coupon will significantly increase sales. Sushi is a meal, not so much a snack, and customers are going to Rolls ‘n’ Bowls for a full meal. Full meals are not eaten between the hours of 3-5 pm.
I think that there are better alternatives to increase sales during these hours. One alternative could be to offer a free soup/salad with the purchase of the meal. This might be more enticing than just 20 percent off of a meal. I think Rolls ‘n’ Bowls needs to focus more on making their busy hours more efficient to increase sales during peak times.

Yeah, I agree with you I believe they should come up with other methods to try and get more business during the hours of 3-5. They should try a happy hour special or something that caters to a younger public, because those of the hours that grade school kids get out of school.
This simply confirms the toughts I had about the United States....they want to push eating at all times. Soon meal hours will no longer have much significance! When I first came from Europ I was surprised to see that American ate and drank at all times...they are always walking around with something in they hand! Or so was the general impression I had.
Anyways, that was just a side comment. Coming back to the 3-5 sushi...doesn't sound very tempting. Happy hour with sushi/tapas seems much more like something that would work and that people would go to after classes. 3-5 is a very early happy hour though, but I guess that doesn't really matter, this is a college town!
